The Letter

To my beautiful children: Addison, Kyndall, Tobie, Paige, and Lincoln,

If you’re reading this, I’m writing to tell you how much I love you. Circumstances from the past does not affect my love for you. I pray for each of you by name that you will come to have a personal relationship with my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. He alone is our strength and refuge.

Safety is not found in government-induced fear, because fear is an enemy of freedom. It is written “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment.” When fear is present, love is not.

With all that I’ve been through, God has given me the strength to endure this hardship, rendering a hope that we will be together again on this side of Heaven. Even the family court system with all its array of forces is unable to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus.

The only thing I can offer you is the love of Christ, which flows through me. He alone can heal a broken heart. Maybe one day, we can see one another face-to-face. I have so much to tell each of you, but I also have so much to learn. But until that day, you will always be on my mind and in my heart.

Love always,
Dad
