Happy Birthday, Son

Dear Lincoln,

Happy birthday, son. Already 8 years old – you’re getting so big. I just wanted you to know that I’m thinking about you. After your birthday, you should write back and tell me what you got. Next month, I’m going to be working everyday. But I don’t mind. It will help me buy some land in Kentucky. And when you get older, I’d love for you to come visit. This would be much better than city life.

I love you, son. Tell everyone that I said hi and write back soon.

Love, Dad
