Dear Addison,
Happy Birthday. Is everyone doing alright? What have you been up to recently? I’ve been working a lot each week, and I’m still at Paintball Country on Saturdays. This past Saturday, in the evening, our church put on a Hymn Sing. We congregated together to sing old hymns. The choir opened up with two songs, and we also had some special music. It was such a blessing. Afterwards, we ate and spent time in fellowship together.
Then, last Friday, we had a staff paintball night. The staff of Paintball Country could bring one guest to play paintball. I brought my 10-year old nephew, Bruce. He absolutely loved it. After four games of paintball, we met in the party room to eat. Afterwards, a few of us hung back to fellowship, but Bruce and the others went to go play more paintball.
Only one more year until you are legally classified as an adult. However, one’s level of maturity is much more important than a government-decreed classification. The mature child can be trusted, whereas, the immature adult cannot. This government classification is deceptive. As you enter adulthood, put away childish thinking.
I love you and miss you very much. Write back when you have an opportunity. I’d love to hear from you.
Love always,
Dad
