Looking Forward

Dear Tobie,

As your birthday approaches, it should remind us that time waits for no one. Although, another year in your life has passed, always look forward to the things to come. Remembering the past without looking back is vital to growth and maturity.

There are many things that I remember, but I’m looking forward for you to become a young lady. I’m longing for the day when we are reunited again, even if it’s awkward. But most importantly, I’m looking forward to the day when you receive God’s gift of salvation.

So do me a favor, would you? This birthday, set some time aside to remember the past, but then, focus on looking forward by setting some future goals and how you plan to achieve them. You can even write those goals down in a diary. Til next time, happy birthday, my child.

With Love in Christ,
Dad
