Fun at the Farm

Dear Paige and Lincoln,

This fall, I’m working at a farm that’s just down the road from me. I’m so excited. They have hay rides and a hogs house. I don’t know what happens at the hogs house though. They also have goats, if you like goats. I’ll be a cashier but I may come in some early Saturday mornings for some kitchen prep.

The farm also has a big jumping pillow. It’s huge and looks like it’s half-way buried with sand around it. Then you can walk on top of it and jump (similar to a trampoline). I did that and fell, but it was fun.

Here’s the dialog of what took place when I got home.

  • Father: “Did you milk some cows?”
  • Me: “No, the cows milked me.”
  • Sister: “TOBY! How can the cows milk you?”
  • Me: “They milked me for $25.”
  • Sister: “What?”
  • Me: “Yeah, I bought a sweater and a beanie.”

I hope you enjoyed that as much as I did. I love you both so very much. Write back when you can.

Love,
Dad
